Olivia’s started as a small craft bakery in the heart of Loughborough. We opened in late 2018 and we are now busy baking all your favourite treats and making great coffee for both of our location!
Through 2021 we had the amazing opportunity of taking over the new café and visitor centre at the Outwoods woodlands in Charnwood, and since late 2021 you can also find us there brewing the same amazing coffee and filling people tummies with the same amazing food.
Market street has plenty of seating space, fast WIFI, a cosy and relaxing atmosphere and the Outwoods has even more seating, both in doors and outdoors, perfect to enjoy nature, and playground for the young ones.
Please let us know if we can help you in any way. We cater all food intolerances and we always have vegan and gluten-free bakes and bread available. We do all our toasties to order. Our toilet is wheelchair accessible (and on street level). High chairs & baby changing facilities available.

Jose was born in Colombia, but spent most of his childhood in Spain. He studied to become a chef in Madrid and discovered he had a knack for baking. After being mentored by some of the best chefs in Spain, Jose was soon working as head pastry chef in “El Club Allard” in Madrid (2 Michelin Star) and later on in “Lasarte” in Barcelona (3 Michelin Star).
Jose came to England in 2015 and became the head chef in “Episode Hotel” in Warwickshire, but he just missed baking too much! He wanted to learn more about English bakes and cakes so he joined the team of “The Tiny Bakery” in Leicester, while he dreamt about opening his own place some day. Shortly after, opportunity arises and he finds the perfect spot for opening a small artisan bakery in Market Street, Loughborough and that was the start of Olivia’s Coffee and Bakery.
Jose’s name might be the one in all the paperwork, but Olivia is the real boss. Olivia was born 6 years ago behind a dumpster in Madrid, where she was found half starved and sick. She was nursed to health and started planning how to conquer the world. That’s when she met Jose, and from the moment she locked her eyes with him, she owned him with her cuteness. She is responsible to keep tabs on feeding the sourdough starter, the most important job. She wakes Jose up everyday at the same time so he remembers to do it (and feed her as well, since he is already in the kitchen).
